Web Table to Excel Exporter — Export Web Tables to CSV & Excel

Select the exact table or list area on any page and download it as CSV. Works with <table> layouts and <ul> / <li> lists — optionally including buttons and actions inside your selection.

Overview

Export only what you select

Web Table to Excel Exporter turns a chosen block of page content into a spreadsheet-friendly CSV file — not the whole page, just the data region you care about.

Most export tools grab entire tables or force you to copy-paste. Web Table to Excel Exporter is built around precise selection: point at the structure you want (a data grid, a pricing block, or a nested list), confirm, and get a CSV that mirrors what you saw on screen.

  • Export selected regions — not the full HTML document
  • Supports classic <table> markup and list-based <ul> / <li> layouts
  • Optional export of in-cell buttons, links, and action controls
  • Right-click workflow — select an area like taking a screenshot, then export
  • Excel, Google Sheets, and Numbers compatible CSV output
  • 100% in-browser processing — your page data never leaves your device

What you can export

The extension understands structured content in two common shapes:

  • HTML tables — thead/tbody rows, colspan layouts, header rows, and multi-column reports
  • List structures — repeating <ul> / <li> patterns that behave like rows (product cards, feature lists, directory entries)

When you enable action export, interactive elements inside the selection — such as buttons, links, and lightweight controls — can be written into dedicated CSV columns so you keep context (for example “Download”, “Edit”, or product URLs) alongside plain text.

Region selection (right-click)

Use the context menu on any page: start region mode, drag to highlight the zone you need (similar to cropping a screenshot), and export only that rectangle of DOM content. This is ideal when a page mixes ads, sidebars, and multiple unrelated tables — you isolate the block that matters.

Extension popup workflow

  1. Open the site that contains your data.
  2. Click the Web Table to Excel Exporter icon in the toolbar.
  3. Review detected tables and list blocks on the current tab.
  4. Pick the target structure or switch to manual selection.
  5. Toggle whether to include buttons/actions in the export.
  6. Download CSV instantly — open in Excel or upload to Sheets.

Who uses it

  • Finance and ops teams archiving portal reports and billing grids
  • E-commerce and marketplace sellers saving competitor price tables
  • Researchers and analysts collecting public statistics without manual copy-paste
  • Admin staff exporting directory listings built as HTML lists
  • QA and support capturing structured UI blocks for tickets and documentation

Whether you need a one-off download or dozens of exports per week, the goal is the same: faithful structure, clean columns, Unicode-safe text, and no server round-trip.

Features

Everything you need for page-to-CSV workflows

From quick table grabs to precise region exports with buttons preserved — tuned for real-world sites, not demo HTML only.

Selective region export

Draw a zone on the page (screenshot-style) and export only that DOM region — ignore navigation, footers, and unrelated widgets.

Table & list aware

Handles semantic tables and list-driven layouts so card grids and directory-style UL blocks become rows and columns in CSV.

Buttons & actions

Optionally capture labels and targets for buttons, links, and inline actions — useful for audit trails and operational spreadsheets.

Right-click ready

Start export from the context menu without opening the popup — fast when you already know which block you need.

Excel-ready CSV

UTF-8 CSV with sensible column breaks opens cleanly in Excel, Google Sheets, and Numbers — headers detected when present.

Local & private

Parsing and file generation run locally in Chrome. No AddonsStore account required on the free tier; no bulk upload of your table data.

Formats

Tables are not the only shape of data

Many modern sites render catalogs as flex rows or nested lists instead of a single <table>. Web Table to Excel Exporter normalizes both:

  • Table mode — reads row/column cells, respects header rows, and keeps colspan logic readable in CSV.
  • List mode — treats repeating list items as rows, inferring columns from consistent child elements (title, price, badge, CTA).

Switch modes from the popup or let auto-detection suggest the best match before you download.

Export with action columns enabled
Optional action columns in CSV
Actions

Keep buttons, not just text

Turn on Include actions when you need more than visible labels — for example export “Add to cart” plus the underlying link, or admin “Approve / Reject” controls as separate columns for tracking.

When actions are disabled, the CSV stays lean: visible text and numeric values only, ideal for analysis and pivot tables.

Two fast paths to CSV

Use the toolbar popup for detected structures, or right-click region mode when you already see the block you need.

1. Open the page

Sign in if needed, scroll to the report, catalog, or dashboard section you want to save.

2. Select structure

Pick a detected table/list from the popup or drag a region via right-click — screenshot-style.

3. Set options

Include buttons/actions or text-only; confirm headers and delimiter preview when shown.

4. Download CSV

Save the file and open in Excel or Sheets — share or archive without re-scraping the page.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Selection export, list layouts, actions, privacy, and Chrome Web Store install — answered in one place.

Region mode lets you draw a box around any block of content — like cropping a screenshot — and export only that area. Full-table mode uses detected <table> or list structures without manual cropping. Use regions when a page has multiple unrelated blocks or chrome around the data.

Yes. Repeating <ul> / <li> patterns (product tiles, directory entries, feature rows) can be mapped into CSV rows and columns when the inner structure is consistent. Table markup is not required.

When enabled, interactive elements inside your selection — buttons, links, and similar controls — can appear as extra CSV columns (label text, URLs, or action names). Disable this for text-only datasets meant for charts and pivots.

Right-click the page, choose the Web Table to Excel Exporter entry, then follow the region overlay to highlight the zone you want. Confirm and download CSV — no need to open the toolbar popup first.

Yes. Files are UTF-8 CSV and open in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers, and most BI tools. Column headers are preserved when the source markup includes them.

Export parsing and file generation run locally in Chrome. Your selected table or region content is not bulk-uploaded to AddonsStore for conversion. See the extension privacy disclosure on the Chrome Web Store for permission details.

Core export features are available on the free tier. Pro may add higher limits, batch options, or priority support — compare plans on the pricing page.

Yes. Unicode text in cells and list items is preserved in the CSV so accented characters and non-Latin scripts export correctly.
